I spent 17 bucks to watch True Blood. That was renting the whole season of course. I think that i would have enjoyed it a whole lot more if i had never picked up one of the actual books.

The books were good and unless its my swiss cheese memory, i dont remember that much sex. Then again HBO is the one producing the show.

As we all know sex is what sells. For the price of an HBO subscription you dont need the video stores backroom. While you may not see full frontal male, or penetration...it was pretty damn close!

Not that im a prude or anything, i just was hoping for better. This is why your not supposed to read a book then watch the movie. Your always somewhat disappointed.

Im not saying the show was bad, i just had preconcieved notions of the characters. Next season though i wont be spending that much money to watch it. Next season, if the video store gets it, ill wait for it to move to the dollar shelf. That or hope that the vid store i frequent now gets it because there you rent the whole season for a much much much much lower price for 2 days more.

I enjoyed the show, and maybe next season ill be able to enjoy it more. Was it worth spending 17 bucks...no, am i upset that i did it? not too much. I just wish that they would have been able to do more story and less sex.
